5 minutes with….Mike Turner - Lester Controls
Can you tell us about your business, when it was formed and what you do?
Lester controls has been around for almost 40 years and has successfully provided 40,000 (confirmed it will be in September this year) Lift, Escalator and some very non-industry “bespoke “ control systems.
How many times have you exhibited at the Lift & Escalator Symposium?
I think this is our 4th time exhibiting.
Why is it an important event for you to attend?
It is a double edges sword, we get to see the presentations but also have the chance to meet the attendees before, during, and after. This provides us will access to many people in one place.
What would you say are the key themes you’re seeing with customers this year?
The eventual publication EN81-76.
What can delegates expect to see on your stand?
Ian Carter, Christian Hodson & myself waving the Lesters banner and showing our Otis Gen2 / Kone Mono-space solutions for modernisation projects.
What would you say to anyone who hasn’t attended? Why should they visit?
Try it, some presentations are extremely worthwhile,, others have little or nothing to do with your field but can be very interesting. Every day is a school day.
Which sessions are you looking forward to the most?
Anything EN81-76 / EN81-80 related.
