Can you tell us about your business – when it was formed and what you do?

Lester Controls has been providing Lift and Escalator Controllers + ancillaries to the industry for the past 40 years. They have ranged in all sorts of shapes and sizes over the years and are forever changing!

How many times have you exhibited at the Lift & Escalator Symposium?

This will be our 5th time exhibiting.

Why is the event important for you to attend?

There are interesting presentations, although not always relevant to our part of the industry, whereby the papers and findings are very interesting. It is a good event to chat to key figures within the industry throughout, and give us a brief chance to showcase our new innovations to the wider community within the industry. 

What key themes are you seeing with customers this year?

The continuation of EN81:76 from last year! It is becoming more prominent now and starting to make its way into specifications.

What can delegates expect to see on your stand?

Again it will be Mike Turner, Christian Hodgson and Ian Carter + A N other showcasing our MRL solutions and our most recent version of Remote Monitoring.

What would you say to someone who has not attended before?

Don’t forget your notebook! The symposium is an interesting couple of days, even if it isn’t completely relevant to your field. Well worth a visit.
