Adam has worked in the vertical transportation industry for 34 years, initially for one of the major global suppliers and then for the last 22 years in consultancy. He is a past chair of the Lifts Group and currently the group’s representative on the British Standards Institute (BSi) MHE/4 committee.

He is a Technical Editor and chapter author for the latest edition of the Guide D. He is also one of the UK representatives on the CEN TC10 WG7 responsible for the revision of the EN81-70 standard for accessible lifts and a representative on WG6 SG5 lift traffic analyses and the WG13 energy efficiency committees.

He is also the MHE4 liaison to B/559 for accessible and inclusive design in the broader built environment.
